Bangaram Island Resort

Bangaram Island Resort caters to high-end international tourists. The accommodation is simple but there are enough creature comforts supported by a precious heritage of ecology and culture. Set in 128 acres, there are now 14 renovated tiled-roof beach cottages, each with its own palm thatched verandah, en suite bathroom, ceiling fan, cooler and fridge. The atmosphere is very peaceful, private and timeless.

Dining

The restaurant is there right in the middle of the resort. The chef cooks both national and international dishes. Verieties of veg and non veg recipes with coconut as an essential ingredient are used to create the sublime South Indian specialties. Seafood is abundant. So naturally, no meal would be complete without a selection of the day's catch. The fresh fishes caught from the sea are served to you after being cooked most deliciously.

Scuba Diving

Water sports equipments and activities on offer include kayak/canoes, snorkeling, windsurfing, parasailing, waterskiing, catamarans, deep sea fishing and of course there is access to some world class diving on untouched reefs which to be unparalleled. There is PADI recognized scuba diving instructors at the Bangaram Beach Resort. Diving and snorkeling is absolutely safe because the conditions inside the reef are absolutely calm.

Charter Sport Fishing

For deep sea big game fishing, Bangaram is an ideal location. Record size Barracuda, Sailfish, Yellowfin, Travelly and Wahoo have often been landed. Local boats are available here for rent with experienced crew and guide.

As per the new rule this can be arranged with a special permit. It's mandatory to run 2 boats carrying a maximum of 2-3 anglers each for comfort. Serious anglers are advised to bring their own equipment. We practice a strict catch n release policy and strongly encourage the use of barbless hooks.

Fishing Permits
The islands are deemed as a restricted area by the Government of India, they are out of bounds to even mainland Indian Nationals. Only a set number of people can visit the islands at any one time with the mandatory paperwork.
